Resplandor releases new heavenly shoegaze album Tristeza

‘Tristeza’ is the new Resplandor’s album produced and mixed by Robin Guthrie, founderand composer of the mythical band Cocteau Twins, who also produced and mixed Resplandor previous album, ‘Pleamar’ and has been mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive, who also collaborated by mixing the album’s closing song Feel.

In February 2020, Saint Marie Records reissued the band’s album ‘Pleamar’ in adouble vinyl edition and in June of the same year they released the song Bocanada (Faraway Whispers From The Sea) also mastered by Simon Scott. During 2019 the band toured several European countries playing in the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belgium.
 

In 2018, the band performed different gigs, being part of the VMF Festival playing with MGMT, Warpaint, among others. On May 18, 2017, after a four-year hiatus, the band returned to the stage, playing with Slowdive in Lima. In the fall of that year, Resplandor played in Madrid, Paris,and Berlin as part of the Berlin Shoegazer Festival.

 
In 2013, Resplandor was the opening act for The Cure at their show in Lima. Thesame year they appeared on Static Waves, a compilation CD from Saint Marie Records.Resplandor has opened shows for The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Cure, Slowdive, The House Of Love, The Ocean Blue, Ulrich Schnauss, Robin Guthrie, Mark Gardener (Ride), The Radio Dept. and more. They have also toured Europe, South America, and North America, playing at festivals such as SXSW 2010, SXSW 2011,and Culture Collide in 2012.

The album release date is April 22, 2022 via Resplandor’s own label, Automatic, onlimited edition vinyl, gatefold LP of 500 hand-numbered copies on 180 gram heavy vinylin transparent blue, marbled and black. Pressed in the Netherlands by Deepgrooves.The CD edition is released by Reptile Music (Germany) and include a bonus track. Resplandor will present the new album in June at the Grauzone Festival in The Haguefollowed by a European tour in September and October.
